Dr. Sue Reinecke

A native of New Orleans, LA, Dr. Reinecke received her veterinary education at The NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, following an undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. After graduating, Dr. Reinecke moved to Asheville and has spent the past 28 years practicing small animal medicine in Asheville and Weaverville. Dr. Reinecke believes in a proactive, preventative approach to general health and in quality of life as a guiding principle. She has a special interest in infectious disease, complex medical cases, geriatric care and ophthalmology. She places on emphasis on communication to help owners make informed decisions about their pets’ wellness and medical needs.

Dr. Reinecke is a longtime resident of North Asheville, where she lives with her husband and her tuxedo cat, Minnie Meow Meow. When away from work, she enjoys gardening, hiking, the beach, live music and the Asheville food scene.
